Abstract
Today, midway through 2022, health discourse permeates every facet of contemporary conversation and consciousness after navigating a global pandemic for the past two years. COVID-19 has challenged our value and understanding of well-being as, regardless of physical health, the virus impacts everyone’s mental and social state. In response to a threatened sense of security, many people are reevaluating how they prioritize their own well-being and what conditions they need to support their health. I’ve used my artistic practice to evaluate of my own well-being, particularly my relationship with depression, and work towards self-healing across the mind, body, and spirit. Over this two-year personal exploration, I’ve discovered processes of making and meditative practices that promote my health. My final thesis installation, Source, shares this journey of healing as an interactive space for personal reflection.
