Abstract
I seek to locate utility, labor and value relative to each other and my work within my art practice, framed by historical precedent, industrial production, commerce and material choice. In this essay, the validity of the statements form=value, utility=value, labor=value is of primary concern. Includes a final note on commonplace objects and a side-note on materials.
