The Social Policy Institute (SPI) at Washington University in St. Louis fosters interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration to design, test, inform and impact innovative policy solutions to social problems. The Social Policy Institute works to enact policy change by conducting global research in four key research focus areas - financial security, health, education and housing. Along with research, SPI also works with community partners to activate practice and policy solutions, as well as to develop future leaders. Through the Open Scholarship platform, the institute removes barriers to access its research, making it publicly available to policymakers, researchers and students from around the world.
