Abstract

This project is a detailed design study of a portion of a small city central business district. The area of the CBD studied consists of the street having the highest intensity of pedestrian movement, and a park adjacent to it. The basic framework for the suggestions made is a recently prepared redevelopment plan for the entire central area. The scope of this study is mainly limited to suggestions for the redevelopment of public land. However, important proposals in this project concern controls over certain actions in the private sector of decision-making.
