Problem Statement
The goal of this project was to design a remote-controlled device that is able to putt and chip a golf ball to achieve several obstacles. This project was designed using the guidelines for the ASME design challenge. The guidelines for this challenge required that the striker fit in a half-meter box, have the capacity to both putt and chip a ball, and be able to overcome obstacles, such as getting up a half pipe onto an elevated surface, clear a 3” hoop, and traverse an inclined ramp. These guidelines had to be met while maintaining a budget of $400.
