Problem Statement
The design problem was to design a screwdriver with a mechanical clutch that can screws screws into bone while preventing over tightening. The clutch must be adjustable for torque levels between .5 and 5 N*m. The design must be ergonomic and can be adapted for medical devices. The tolerance should be within 5% of the desired torque. In addition, the device should be reusable and able to be medically sanitized. It is necessary to specify any changes to make this a device suitable for medical use.
