Abstract
Nineteenth Century Collections Online (NCCO) from Gale Cengage is a full-text database of primary source material covering the long 19th century, roughly 1789-1914. The database is comprised of individual topical or thematic archives which can be purchased separately. In 2012, four archives were released: Asia and the West: Diplomacy and Cultural Exchange; British Politics and Society; British Theatre, Music, and Literature: High and Popular Culture; and European Literature, 1790-1840: The Corvey Collection. Much of the content is not readily available elsewhere and includes a variety of formats. The interface is user-friendly and offers above-average options as well as text analysis and OCR downloading features. Some problems were noted with some search limit options and the accuracy of the OCR texts.
