Problem Statement
Manual soybean harvesting is laborious and inefficient, leading to crop damage and inconsistent results. A tabletop, hand-cranked harvester offers a more efficient, ergonomic solution for small-scale operations through an automated method of harvesting soybeans for a laboratory setting.

If there is an issue with grip of the belt where the pods are splitting open at the head but remain intact at the tail end of the shell casing, a recommended texture to add to the belt can be chicken wire with smaller diameters in the holes to add a teeth onto the belt for further variable crushing levels to the area of contact upon the pods without damaging the soybeans inside.
