Problem Statement
This document presents a design for a temporary, rapidly built, overflow hospital needed during a pandemic similar to the recent Covid-19 crisis. The design focuses on the HVAC system for a rapidly built hospital to fit the needs of patients and staff when treating an airborne disease similar to Covid-19. Enclosed in the report is the design decisions for the layout, size, and amenities of the hospital. HVAC layout, load calculations, and sizing can be found in the document. Calculations were made based on the St. Louis, Missouri area, but the design was set up to be adaptable to fit a variety of locations, with a variety of needs.
