Summary
This report discusses the global reach and origins of Child Development Account policies, documenting impacts on approximately 32 million children worldwide. The policies range from Singapore’s comprehensive asset-building framework to Kazakhstan’s pioneering National Fund for Children. The seven policies highlighted here represent growing efforts to provide structured and lifelong asset-building across the full population, beginning as early as birth.
This report was updated in January 2026 to correct typographical errors in the monetary figures reported for South Korea.
