Material and its Properties

This material was chosen for its local availability and low cost. By using bamboo wood the overall construction cost of the home could be kept down in addition to designing the bamboo façade in a way that would allow ventilation and sun filtration through the dwelling.

Environmental Response

Bamboo is locally grown as well as being able to reproduce quickly. Therefore in Vietnam is both of economical and environmental value as a building material.
