Material and its Properties
The expanded metal mesh is a rigid metal that has been processed from a design pattern, by cutting and stretching a sheet in a single process. In this project, the expanded metal mesh facade system allows for natural ventilation as well as plants attached to the surface. In this way, the green façade provides a comfortable microclimate within the building, reduces energy consumption and can be used as a proto-type for a welcoming domestic garden for all the insects and birds in the area
