The purpose of this assignment is to enhance students' comfort and competencies with generative AI. Students use Copilot and NotebookLM to create a dataset and develop statistical analyses including regression. Students are also expected to compare the results from the LLM with analyses in Excel. The statistical analyses include descriptive statistics, correlation table, and regression analysis. Additional analyses include residual analysis, standardized coefficients, and visualizations.
Student Learning Objectives
After completing this assignment, students will demonstrate using a LLM to find data sources to create a dataset and develop statistical analyses with a LLM. The statistical analyses include a correlation table, regression analysis, and residual analysis. These competencies complement students' knowledge of the topic while introducing them to statistical concepts discussed later in the course.
