Description

The Brownies' Book is the first Black children's literary magazine, published by DuBois and Dill Publisher between 1920 to 1921. W.E.B. Du Bois described the monthly periodical as “…a little magazine for children—for all children, but especially for ours.” This zine seeks to highlight the significance and impact of the periodical that established African American children’s literature.
