Environmental Response

The wall undulates to reference the building's former use, a silk warehouse. The concrete blocks are angled to create an interesting texture and allow varying levels of light into the interior space. This firm is interested in low-tech digital fabrication methods, and this example allows for a unique surface using a material that is widely available.
